Guy that designed it has history with Opel, VW, SEAT, Mitsu and Mini... so yes, I'm ok with this car. (despite it being Chinese)

Handsome, surprisingly safe for a Chinese car.

Wouldn't mind this coming to the US, but it would have to be built in the US, or at least in North America, before I would truly consider one.

I might have to agree with you, the real only thing holding chinese car manufacturers coming to North America is build quality, North American consumers seem to have a bit of a bias against a chinese-made car, Even in markets where chinese cars are sold, Such as Australia and most of the Commonwealth, they are seen as poorly built econoboxes, I sincerely hope though that Chery will bring the Qoros here, Only problem is a delership network, though they do have a joint venture with Jguar-Land Rover

Why when probably most of your car parts, your electronics, the computer you are typing on, your clothes, etc are all made in China? China and quality isn't mutually exclusive.

I dont personally have the stigma against chinese product, if its a good enough car, then i would buy one no matter where its made, its just most American consumers would be a little skittish, But then again it could go the way of the Korean and Japanese imports and be ridiculed at first, then rise to become a major player in the North American market
